This volume covers twelve generations of Johannes Hottel through his third child, George. 8,000 main genealogical entries, including birth, marriage and death dates, spouse and spouse's parents, children, occupations, residences and in many cases biographical sketches. There are nearly 26,000 sub-listings of children and a complete 181 page index of nearly 47,000 persons in the book. There is a forty-four page reference chapter showing the sources for each listing in the genealogical section, as well as a bibliography. This is a very important genealogical resource book.
